WORKFORCE
Law Enforcement
Police officers are frequently the first on the scene of dangerous and demanding situations. Although their heroic duties are essential to society, they can be extremely strenuous and emotionally draining to those in the profession.
Constant exposure to devastation, life-threatening situations and long hours can lead to mental health crises and thoughts of suicide. In fact, three times as many officers die by suicide as officers that die in the line of duty. Despite this fact, there is a longstanding stigma in the law enforcement field around getting help.
